My Favorite Snorkeling Trips:
Pennsylvania --
Pine Creek:
- One large hole downstream from bridge just upstream of the town of
Waterville, right next to parking area for Rails-To-Trails bicycle trail.
- Two large holes just downstream from Ramsey Village and old railroad
bridge.
Raystown Branch Juniata River:
- Downstream of Raystown Dam spillway. Excellent crayfish bed!! MMMM!!
TASTY!!!
Lycoming Creek near Cogan Station (I use a private access)
Loyalsock Creek:
- Excellent SCUBA diving below the PA Route 973 bridge at "Slab
Town".
- Township park on Wallace Run is another good place to access from public
land.
Rock Run:
- I recommend the use of a wet suite on this stream, as it is extremely
cold, but the water is a clear as it gets. Lots of daring people like to
swim here during the summer. I'm NOT one of them!!
